All traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive documents, KYC artefacts and identity numbers are encrypted at rest with AES 256. Encryption keys are rotated and access is fully audited.

Every user is verified using their NIN and BVN, paired with a liveness check, before any rent moves. This gives both landlord and tenant the certainty of dealing with a real, accountable person.

Funds are held in regulated escrow accounts and released only after the tenant confirms key handover via the Move-In Code. If anything goes wrong, the money returns to the tenant within 72 hours, automatically.

Internal staff access is gated by role based access control. Production data access requires multi factor authentication and is fully audit logged. We grant the minimum access needed and revoke promptly.

We monitor authentication, payments and escrow flows continuously and run automated anomaly detection. In the event of an incident affecting your data we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within the timelines required by law.

We welcome responsible disclosure from security researchers. Email security@spaces.berlvis.com with reproduction details. We acknowledge within 48 hours and credit researchers in our hall of fame for valid reports.
